Spirals:
Probably the two most frequently discussed spirals in mathematics are the logarithmic spiral and the Archimedean Spiral. In polar coordinates the logarithmic spiral is determined by the formula 
while the Archimedean is determined by the formula 
where α, b and n are constants.
